The International Studies Program at Butler University invites application for a full-time renewable Lecturer position. Disciplinary expertise is open. Open to application from all social sciences and humanities disciplines. Applicants should be prepared to teach a course on the United Nations and Other International Organizations, and courses for one or more regional specializations. We are particularly interested in candidates whose teaching and scholarship focuses on politics in Southeast Asia, Europe, Central or South America, or among Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, or Latinx/e/o people and equips them to offer Global and Historical Studies core curriculum courses (See https://www.butler.edu/academics/core/components/global-historical-studies/), and whose teaching interests involve critical reflection on issues of social justice and diversity. The ability to also teach upper-level International Studies courses in areas that include foreign policy, diplomacy, and/or international studies methods are highly desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and interest in advising a Model United Nations Club.
